What does the "circle" in Photocircle actually stand for, you ask? Our vision is simple: for an exceptional photograph you need more than just a great photographer and the right moment. You also need an extraordinary subject. So it's perfectly obvious that the subject should profit from the sales as well, right? We think that's just fair, but normally that's not the case. We're here to change that.
That's why for every art print you buy at Photocircle, we and our artists donate up to 50% of the sales price to a development project in the country or region where the photo was taken. This way, we can give back to the people and places that make our photos unique. And we apply the same logic to our illustrations as well, by donating to projects in the places where your favorite artworks were made. As both Photocircle and its artists wave a part of the proceeds, you get beautiful art, fair prices and the chance to make a difference with your purchase. The circle is complete.

At Photocircle, we believe that everyone should do what they do best. That's why we take care of providing you with ever-new and gorgeous art, while our humanitarian and development projects are carried out by professional non-profit organizations, who have the necessary expertise and tools to deliver excellent results in their respective fields of work.
As soon as one of our projects is completely funded, we transfer the entire sum of money to the respective partner organization. Our project partners will then launch the project and keep us updated on what's happening on the ground.
Our artists are great: they take stunning photographs or make beautiful illustrations and at the same time, they help us fund worthwhile causes all over the world with their work by waving a part -or all- of their proceeds.

Hi there, we believe we haven't met you yet! We're always happy to welcome guests at our gallery space in the heart of Berlin, so next time you're in the area, why not pay us a visit?
With our gallery for contemporary art we want to grow and develop our idea and thereby promote contact and interaction between visitor and art; showcase a cross-section of our portfolio - Photocircle's most successful, popular and extraordinary artworks; illustrate different forms of presentation - laminations, framings and hangings; and provide a platform for exchange on topics such as humanism, development, photography, as well as intersections between art and politics by regularly hosting exciting new events.
Your walls are crying for love? We've got you covered. Whether you're looking for art prints from our gallery or want to print your own photos - we make sure you live in style. Artists and customers from all over the world swear by our quality and service. The icing on the cake: despite our donations, we offer very fair prices by avoiding expensive marketing campaigns and focusing on what really matters - making the world a little better in whatever way we can.

But at the end of the day, one thing unites us all: our vision of a place where we can combine the beauty of art with the beauty of giving back. Curious? Learn more about Thomas Heinrich, Francesco Laddomada, Carlo Trimarchi, Katrin Strohmaier, Angela Capillo and Rosa de Salvo below.
Thomas acquired his business degree in Berlin and Salamanca. After university, he went abroad to work at the Vamos Adelante Foundation in Guatemala. Back in Berlin, Thomas started a job at a management consultancy - however, he felt his true vocation was elsewhere and went travelling in Southeast Asia instead. That's when he came up with the idea to start Photocircle: he didn't want to sell his photos without the people in the pictures profiting as well. Instead, he wanted to sell his pictures in a way that would allow him to give something back to the communities around the people who made them special; and as no such platform existed at the time, he created one himself. Apart from being CEO, Thomas loves to play all kinds of ballgames and has two children, a little boy and a baby girl.
Francesco studied Computer Science at the University of Cagliari, Sardinia. He is a passionate photographer and speaks eight languages: Italian, English, a bit of German and fluent PHP, Javascript, MYSQL, XHTML and CSS. Being one of eight siblings, Francesco is very sociable and enjoys extensive dinner parties with friends. He loves everything that's creative, except Pizza Hawaii.
Born in Messina, Sicily, Carlo studied Computer Science in Bologna and speaks at least as many languages as Francesco. He is also nuts about comics, which is why he co-created and works at To Be Continued and made the website for Erccomics.
A woman of many words. Katrin studied communications and politics in Berlin, and then devoted herself to the Near East - on the ground at first, and later at the London-based School of Oriental and African Studies. Over the years, she brought home the bacon writing for newspapers and doing PR for NGOs, while always making sure to spend enough time traveling our beautiful planet.
Ania started drawing at the age of three (more or less like everyone else) and just never stopped ever since. After having studied Visual Arts in Reggio Calabria, Arts Education in Milan and Museum Studies in Rome, she decided to move to Berlin and let herself be inspired by vegetarian Döner, Netflix and chimney sweepers.
Rosa studied Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Art in Reggio Calabria and Art Curatorship at IED in Rome. Since then, she's worked as a freelance professional for several contemporary art galleries, the Brazilian embassy and the Fondo Ambiente Italiano in Rome. Excessively curious and ever-enquiring, she spends her days in company of art and movies, always in search of beauty.
