“If your photos aren’t good enough, then you’re not close enough.” Schön gesagt, Robert Capa. Dass sie nicht nah genug dran sind kann man unseren Fotografen wirklich nicht vorwerfen. Aber überzeugt Euch selbst: In dieser Kategorie findet Ihr die schönsten Straßenszenen, eilende, sich unterhaltende und tanzende Menschen, spielende Kinder, belebte und verlassene Viertel, parkende Fahrräder und fahrende Autos, bunte Märkte,…. Straßenfotografie ein Genre, das viele verschiedene Stile umfasst. Allgemein handelt es sich dabei um "spontane" Momentaufnahmen im öffentlichen Raum: Straßen, Passanten, Cafés, Märkte und Geschäfte. Variationen sind essayistische Abfolgen und Milieustudien, wobei die Grenzen zwischen dokumentarischer und "kreativer" Fotografie fließend sind. Ihre Blütezeit hatte die Straßenfotografie in den 1930ern.
