Comparing our Vincent van Gogh Acrylic Glass Prints

Direct Printing vs. Acrylic Glass Lamination

There are significant differences in the manufacturing processes of acrylic glass prints. In broad terms, you have to distinguish between direct printing on acrylic glass and lamination. With direct printing, the image is printed directly onto the acrylic glass plate with a color printer, and the picture is ready. The manufacturing process involves only a few steps. Consequently, direct prints are also slightly cheaper than acrylic glass laminations. However, the disadvantage of direct printing is that the print is unprotected. The image can easily peel off and is directly exposed to light, dust, and dirt. Additionally, the acrylic glass tends to deform over time, resulting in distortions in the image. Since the image is printed directly onto the plate, the print quality is inferior with direct printing. Often, printer stripes are visible, and the colors are not as vibrant and bright as with acrylic glass laminations.

Our top priority is to ensure that you enjoy your print for a long time. Therefore, we offer you only the best of the best: acrylic glass lamination. In the next paragraph, we will explain our manufacturing process and show you our product features.

The Benefits of our Vincent van Gogh Acrylic Glass Prints

Our Acrylic Glass Lamination for Long-lasting Wall Art

At Photocircle, the image is first printed on 260 g sturdy premium photo paper. Subsequently, the print is laminated onto a 3mm thick aluminum composite panel, commonly known as Alu Dibond, which is then bonded to the acrylic glass plate using UV silicone. Since we print on photo paper rather than on a plexiglass plate, the print result is significantly better. The images are sharper, contrast-rich, and the colors are truer and more vibrant. Additionally, the print is protected from environmental influences due to the panel connection. Thanks to the Alu Dibond, which serves as a stabilizer, the image does not warp. It remains dimensionally stable and does not bow. Despite our project donations, we still belong to the most affordable providers in the premium segment, as shown in this price comparison. We also fare well compared to mass providers, as seen in this acrylic glass print price comparison. The prices listed are our photo lab prices because you can also have your own photo printed behind acrylic glass by us.

Here are the key features of our Vincent van Gogh acrylic glass prints at a glance:

Photo exposure instead of direct printing
Stabilization and dimensional stability through a 3mm thick Alu Dibond
Panel connection with durable UV silicone
Delivery including hanging system

What our customers say about us

We were extremely satisfied with Photocircle: both the high quality of the photo prints and frames, as well as the service and advice on exhibition planning were everything we could have asked for and more.

The concept is unique, the quality of the prints more than convincing. I'm particularly in love with their alu dibonds with shadow gap frames.

Steffen Böttcher, photographer

That was love at first sight! I will definitely order many more prints in the future

Ben Hammer, photographer

Brilliant colors, uncomplicated handling, good advice – and all of that with a social surplus. Perfect for Projekt 100% MENSCH, thank you!

Holger Edamer, CEO, Project 100% Human

Photocircle supported us really well, from the first consultations to the final implementation of our exhibition. The entire service as well as the quality of the acrylic glass prints were fantastic! Photocircle would therefore always be our first choice in the future.
