How Sustainable is Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper?

The water used in the production of Hahnemühle Fine Art papers comes directly from the source and is pollutant-free at the end of the production cycle. The FSC- or PEFC-certified fiber materials are sourced from sustainable forestry. For years, electricity at Hahnemühle has been sourced from renewable energy sources, and production waste is either reintegrated into the production cycle or, where not possible, provided to other processors. Also good to know: Hahnemühle paper does not contain any animal or genetically modified components.

With Every Print Sold, We Plant Trees

The fundamental idea of Photocircle is simple. We want to give back to the people and countries that make our photos special. That's why, from the beginning, we've been supporting humanitarian and development projects in the regions where the respective images were taken through our print sales. And because both our artists and ourselves are willing to forego a portion of the proceeds, we're able to offer you competitive prices despite the high donation share.

In 2020, we began our reforestation project in Ethiopia. Our goal is to plant one million trees, which will not only absorb many millions of kilograms of CO₂ but also improve the living conditions of people in our project regions. You can learn more about our projects in the 'About Us' section.
