After having cycled over the Golden Gate Bridge several times at 6 AM, that morning I finally had the motive as I wanted it to be: it was dry, the sun had not yet risen, it was foggy. And the repeated tooting of the foghorn gave me goose bumps.
Did you know that artists only receive single-digit commission amounts from most online galleries? While rent and food prices etc. are on the rise, many freelance artists don't make enough money to make ends meet.
That's why we at Photocircle have a different model. While we also need to offer competitive prices, our artists decide for themselves the amount of their commissions. So if the prices of our pictures vary sometimes, you now know why.
By the way: Rob van Kessel donates 35% of the proceeds to our reforestation project in Ethiopia, where we hope to have planted 500,000 trees by the end of 2023.
