Artist's description:
The first castle was built in the 13th century. What we see today is the 3rd castle – it was only a ruin around 1800, until king Frederick William IV of Prussia, from the Hohenzollern dynasty, decided to have it rebuilt. The style seeks to revive medieval Gothic architecture, as was en vogue at the time.
