The Huayna Potosi - 6088 meters above sea level. The ascent from the high camp is not too technical, but quite long. Thomas starts at one in the morning, in complete darkness. Step by step, as if in a trance. Just in time for sunrise Thomas reaches the summit. From there one can see the distant lights of La Paz. Once the sun is there, Thomas begins descent. The nature is breathtakingly beautiful and the morning sun makes wonderful soft light on the hard ice and rock formations. A paradise for mountaineers and photographers.
