Ernst Ludwig Kirchner was a German painter and graphic artist and is one of the most important representatives of Expressionism. Kirchner was a founding member of the artist group "Die Brücke". In 1937, the Nazis branded his works "degenerate". More than 600 of those works were subsequently sold or destroyed. A year later, he died from a gunshot wound.
Did you know that artists only receive single-digit commission amounts from most online galleries? While rent and food prices etc. are on the rise, many freelance artists don't make enough money to make ends meet.
That's why we at Photocircle have a different model. While we also need to offer competitive prices, our artists decide for themselves the amount of their commissions. So if the prices of our pictures vary sometimes, you now know why.
By the way: Art Classics donates 25% of the proceeds to our reforestation project in Ethiopia, where we hope to have planted 500,000 trees by the end of 2023.
