The Gullfoss waterfall is located in southwest Iceland on the Golden Circle and is probably one of the most popular sights in the country. Irrepressible, thunderous masses of water fall down the "Golden Waterfall ," as it is also known, in a fraction of a second. The spray and the deafening background noise are impressions that probably burn themselves in every visitor as a reminder of this fantastic place. I tried to capture that feeling on my picture.
'thunderous waters', by the photographer Anke Butawitsch, was captured in Iceland. It’s part of the following art editions:

Did you know that artists only receive single-digit commission amounts from most online galleries? While rent and food prices etc. are on the rise, many freelance artists don't make enough money to make ends meet.
That's why we at Photocircle have a different model. While we also need to offer competitive prices, our artists decide for themselves the amount of their commissions. So if the prices of our pictures vary sometimes, you now know why.
By the way: Anke Butawitsch donates 10% of the proceeds to our reforestation project in Ethiopia, where we hope to have planted 500,000 trees by the end of 2023.
