Black and White Photography of the Impressive Shanghai Skyline
This striking photo captures the skyline of Shanghai in a calm black-and-white tone. The composition highlights the distinctive lines of the tall buildings that majestically outline against the sky. The dense atmosphere of smog adds a unique depth to the image, softening the architectural details. The tranquil mood of the shot contrasts with the vibrant energy of the city, making it a perfect focal point for any space.

Artist's description:
Shanghai - a city of contrasts. People who fight to get into the subway. People who take you by the hand to get you safely to a destination 3km away, because you have no idea of the way. Houses so tall that you can't see the top in the dense smog. Houses that seem to collapse at the mere sight, have no toilets, not even running water. Food that tastes like it's been digested three times and treats you've never tasted before. Dark alleys without electricity next to streets with so much illuminated advertising that one becomes blind. A promenade that is so interesting, impressive and beautiful as one rarely sees it. A promenade along the shore that on New Year's Eve 2014 was the doom of dozens of people in a mass panic. Less than 50 days later Thomas Kleinert stands at exactly this spot and looks out at Huangpu Jiang. And on a skyline that radiates so much silence that you immediately forget all the hustle and bustle of millions of people around you.
