Artist's description:
Sometimes a bum is all you can expect. But definitely not in the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park still a real insider tip in Botswana. At the edges of the Boteti river, which is only flowing for the last 5 or 6 years, you can find large and maybe the largest elephant and zebra herds in the whole of Botswana. The animals appear at the river for early lunchtime when it is getting hot. Elephants arrive at the water in large herds and start to drink, play and enjoy the day while you are sitting in the middle of the whole group in your 4x4 and no one else around you. During the off season – end of September until the end of October – the deserted Makgadikgadi is even more deserted and you hardly meet any other car in the park.
