Mother with children from Titcov village fishing for bait. Main activities for this remote village from the Braila island are fishing and subsistance agriculture. The head of household works as a boatman, charging around 30 euro cents for a Danube crossing.
Picture is part of an ongoing photo project, "Dobrogeni", aiming to document the people from Dobrogea, a historical region shared by Bulgaria and Romania, located between the lower Danube river and the Black Sea, including the Danube Delta, Romanian coast and the northernmost part of the Bulgarian coast.
