Put 1 kilo sliced strawberries in a large bowl, alongside with some chopped rhubarb (something like half a kilo), 1 kilo caster sugar and a vanilla bean cut in half widthwise. Stir and let it rest for about two hours, then put the mixture in a large saucepan, bring it to boil and let it cook for 20 minutes. Now you're ready to jar the best jam you've ever had in your entire life!
