The Berliners are unfriendly and inconsiderate, gruff and self-opinionated, Berlin is repulsive, loud, dirty and grey, construction works and blocked streets wherever you go. But I feel sorry for those who can’t live here.

Berlin, it seems, is the city of everything and nothing. It’s old and it’s new, it’s beautiful and it’s hideous. It’s poor, yet it has so much to offer. Berlin is art and literature and music – and it’s drugs and distraction and sleeping in. Berlin is so green and yet so grey; it means wonderful parks and industrialized buildings. Berlin is ever-changing and always the same.
