Artist's description:
I love those delicate moments when light makes leaves appear almost translucent. The young leaves of this copper beech (Fagus sylvatica f. purpurea) were glowing in the low evening sun – suddenly everything felt soft and warm. I focused on the fine leaf edges that seemed to glow in the light. To me, this image speaks of transition: from early spring into the fullness of life.
