Pilsum Lighthouse: A Landmark of the North Sea
The photo showcases the Pilsum Lighthouse, beautifully viewed from the dike. The soft colors of the sky – from azure blue to warm orange and gentle yellows – harmonize perfectly with the vibrant red of the tower. This composition creates a calm and inviting atmosphere, capturing the maritime beauty of East Frisia. The lighthouse's slight lean, caused by strong winds, adds a unique character to the image, telling a story about the natural forces shaping this region.

Artist's description:
View from the dike to the Pilsum lighthouse. The lighthouse is a landmark of East Frisia and especially known from the movie "Otto - der Außerfriesische". Therefore it is one of the most famous lighthouses in Germany.
The lighthouse has a slight inclination to the east (in the picture on the left). In the course of the decades it has got into this inclination by the often strong wind, because the foundation itself does not stand on supports. This is therefore not an image error.
