Find out more about Roswitha Schleicher-Schwarz
Roswitha, where are you from and where do you live now?
I grew up in Oberkochen, Schwäbische Alb, Baden-Württemberg, and moved to Munich in 1974.
How would you describe your artistic style?
Every camera has its own reality. It is not important to me to reflect reality in my images, but rather leave the viewer with an emotion. Digital image processing allows me to convey what I felt when I captured the image.
What's on top of your bucket list (as an artist or just as a person)?
My partner and my love to him. Travel: sea, mountains, cities. Model shootings in abandonned castles. Street life with extraordinary motives.
Analogue or digital?
Digital.
New York or remote mountain hut?
Both.
Becks or Merlot?
Weissbier and dry white wine.
And a little Proust: What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Time to spend with my partner and our love.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Bargain-hunting and penny pinching. Quality has its price.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
My partner and his music, my children, my photography.
If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?
I live here and now. I try to have a good life.
The world needs more...
responsibility, tolerance, freedom and Rock.
I’ve changed my mind about…
a lot.
What most people don't understand is that…
in order to make something good you need passion and stamina. Setbacks are a further step forward.
